Planning your wedding stationery is an exciting and creative step that requires a lot of attention and love for detail. After all, the invitations are the first impression your guests will get of your special day. To ensure everything runs smoothly and you receive your high-quality, handcrafted invitations on time, I have compiled some valuable tips for you here.
Wedding stationery is more than just an invitation, save the date, or thank you card – it’s a work of art that reflects the style and theme of your wedding. Since I design and produce the stationery 100% myself in my own studio, it’s important that you start thinking about your wishes early. Ideally, you should begin planning about seven to ten months before your wedding to allow enough time for consultations, design, printing, and mailing.
To perfectly implement your vision, I always start with a detailed questionnaire that you’ll receive from me via email and fill out together carefully. Here we clarify the most important questions: Should the stationery be classic and elegant or modern and minimalist? What colors will your decoration concept have? Do you have a specific wedding theme? And are there any special details that are important to you? Here you can already find a few designs to better visualize my work. The questionnaire helps me to understand your personality and preferences precisely, so that I can develop a tailor-made design for you.
Every piece of wedding stationery that leaves my studio is special. I work with my 50-year-old letterpress machine and use traditional printing techniques like letterpress and hot foil stamping to give the invitations, save the date cards, menu cards, and thank you cards a particularly elegant and luxurious touch. Since everything is handmade – from design through printing to packaging – you can be sure that every detail is treated with the utmost care. I place great importance on quality and only proceed to shipping when everything is perfect.
The charm of handcrafted wedding stationery lies in its individuality. In addition to classic designs, I also offer the possibility to incorporate personalized elements such as monograms, coats of arms, or individual illustrations (e.g., of your wedding location). These special details make your stationery unique special and give it a personal touch that will delight your guests
I leave nothing to chance when it comes to packaging your stationery. Of course, I also take care of the packaging myself to ensure that everything arrives safely and lovingly packed at your doorstep. I also place special emphasis on making the unpacking experience just as special for you as sending the invitations to your guests.
Plan the mailing early. Save-the-date cards can be sent 9-12 months before the wedding, invitations about 3 to 6 months before. This ensures that your guests have enough time to reserve the date and prepare (e.g., travel and hotel accommodation). To ensure everything goes smoothly and you can start your big day stress-free, it’s essential that you place your order early. After filling out the questionnaire and the design phase, I need about three to four weeks, depending on the printing process and finishing, until your stationery is fully produced and packaged.
In addition to the design of the stationery, the content of the cards also plays a crucial role. The right words touch the hearts of the guests and give your stationery an even more personal touch. To support you in this, I now offer an exclusive text guide. This guide helps you compose the perfect texts for your invitations, save-the-date cards, thank you cards, and more. With loving templates and creative ideas, you can express your message stylishly and authentically. This way, each card becomes an unforgettable part of your wedding, not only visually but also in terms of content. You can download the text guide right here. Additionally, the text guide not only provides valuable input on the topic of texts but also offers valuable design tips, the most beautiful font combinations, and a discount code for your welcome and seating plan sign.
Throughout the entire process, I maintain close contact with you to ensure that your wishes are implemented down to the smallest detail. You can always contact me with questions or requests for changes to ensure that the final result perfectly fits your wedding and feels right for you.
